Tony Ribera

Tony is a 2nd year Ph.D. student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program. Originally from San Francisco, Tony earned a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Redlands. He worked in residence life and housing for 3 years prior to coming to Indiana University in 2007. In addition to training and mentoring paraprofessionals, Tony served as an instructor of “Residence Life 101” and “The Pedagogy of Residential Education”, which stressed the importance of teaching and learning in the residential setting.

 

Job Responsibilities
Project Associate in the Center for Postsecondary Research. Works with clients (schools No through U of A)on NSSE, FSSE, and BCSSE.

Consortium oversight with Dan Bureau.

Research Interests
Tony's primary research interest is the relationship between teaching theory and student affairs practice. Other research interests include the identity development of sexual assault survivors in college and the experiences of student leaders in the residential setting.
