Mallory Below
Mallory R. Below is a graduate student at Indiana University where she is pursuing an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in School Psychology through the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology in the School of Education. She has research interest focused on the role of family in children's academic success.
Mallory graduated cum laude from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Art in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art. As a part of the Honors Institute, she did research involving the expressional communication of a middle school boy with autism through his artwork. The title of her thesis was "Through Autistic Eyes: A Visual Case Study." She also was part of student and faculty team that researched, wrote, and edited a book about the surrealist Philip C. Curtis entitled "Sound and Silence." Her research focused on Curtis' representation of children and childhood.
